NNormal signs Joyce Muthoni Njeru, one of today’s leading figures in trail running

The Kenyan athlete joins the team following a standout 2024 season and impressive results on the global stage.

Njeru has already claimed some of the most prestigious victories in international trail running.

NNormal, the sports equipment brand founded by Kilian Jornet and Camper in 2022, has welcomed Joyce Muthoni Njeru, one of today's leading figures in trail running.

At just 27 years old, the Kenyan runner has already amassed an impressive track record. In 2021, 2022, and 2023, she clinched the World Mountain and Running Athletics (WMRA) World Cup, and she has also recently achieved notable successes in the most prestigious races on the international circuit, such as winning the 2024 Broken Arrow in the USA and finishing second at the 2023 Sierre Zinal in Switzerland.

Moreover, she is the recent winner of the 2024 Golden Trail Series.

Known for her explosive power on ascents and her ability to adapt to technical terrains, Njeru has proven to be one of the most consistent runners in recent years.

"I am very excited to join the NNormal team, a brand that cares not only about performance but also about the impact it generates. I fully identify with their philosophy and am looking forward to covering many kilometers together," Njeru stated.

With her on board, NNormal strengthens its commitment to a roster of high-performance athletes and prominent figures in the field.

More than just an athlete

Joyce's role extends far beyond that of a mere athlete. Her commitment to the community is also part of her character. She has long been involved with various social and educational projects in Kenya, notably initiatives supporting underprivileged children.

Starting today, NNormal and Njeru will join paths and begin planning for the coming seasons' objectives. Some will be marked by athletic ambition, others by a commitment to social and environmental causes. Nonetheless, all will serve to inspire future generations.
